New discipleship opportunities for October and November
Written by Brad Jenkins

We hope by now you have plugged in to one of our Sunday morning discipleship opportunities to fuel your growth in Jesus. If you haven’t don’t worry: you can join up anytime.

Starting Oct. 8, we have some new short-term, seasonal options to add to our longer-term classes.

Preparation for Worship (Oct. 8-29)

All 3rd through 5th grade students, along with their grown-ups, are invited to explore baptism, the Lord’s Supper, and other elements of Sunday morning worship. This will be a hands-on and meaningful experience that will help children and parents grow in understanding of what it means to worship Jesus and love Him above all others. Meets on the Elizabeth Street side of Showker Hall.

Daniel: Standing Firm During the Trials of Life (Oct. 8-Nov. 19)

Daniel, a man who lived as an exile completely devoted to his relationship with our Heavenly Father. We will study how he lived listening to God’s voice and how we should be living as Christians today. He is both an example and a warning. The world that he lived in was full of trials that we face today. Put your armor on. Meeting in Room 205.

Family Devotions Toolkit (Nov. 5-19)

Parents are invited to come to discuss what discipleship is all about—helping our children learn the gospel story, love the Author and Subject of that story, and then live out their part in His ongoing story. Come ready to discuss the intersection of church and family ministry, identify and share tools for family devotions, and pray for the children of our church. Meets on the Elizabeth Street side of Showker Hall.
