We want to make more room for God’s family to grow in depth and in number here at First Pres, so the elders have unanimously voted to add an additional worship opportunity on Sunday mornings starting in August.

Starting Aug. 25, a contemporary service will be offered twice, at 9 a.m. in the sanctuary and then repeated at 11:15 a.m. in Showker Hall. The traditional service will continue to be held at 11:15 a.m. in the sanctuary.

Our prayer and the goal is that this additional opportunity for worship will help us continue to grow God’s kingdom here in Harrisonburg and Rockingham County, particularly to draw in new people to meet Jesus.

Pray for our worship committee and all those who will be working over the next few months on logistics. And consider how you can be part of inviting others to all of our worship services so that more people can encounter the living God, who desires many to praise Him and call on Jesus as Lord.
