Shannon Kiser, Director of Music & Worship, grew up in Harrisonburg and attended Eastern Mennonite High School. He received a Bachelor of Music degree from Covenant College and a Master of Music degree from the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore. For the past seven years, he has lived and worked in the Baltimore/Washington area – serving as Choral Director at the Chapelgate Academy in Marriottsville, Md., and as an Associate Director with the Children’s Chorus of Carroll County, Md. For 4 ½ years, Shannon served as Music Director at Church of the Atonement in Silver Spring, Md. As a baritone soloist, Shannon has been a frequent guest artist in the Baltimore/Washington area. He has contributed to several recordings from early music to contemporary, and he frequently works with new composers in a variety of musical styles. Shannon is married to Christy, and they have three children.
