Chick-fil-A 1691 East Market Street, Harrisonburg, VAMiddle- and high-school students gather for friendship and for a Bible study. Join us for some breakfast and time together at Chick-fil-A. Inclement weather policy: If Rockingham County schools are closed or on a delay, small group will not be held.

Sunday mornings at First Pres are centered on worship and also include time between the services for growing and connecting. Our regular schedule, with links to current information, is below. 9 a.m. – Contemporary Praise & Worship At this service you can expect modern songs with drums, guitars and other instruments. People will be wearing everything from jeans to suits, tucked and untucked. You’ll find people of all ages and walks of life. 10:15 a.m. – Between the Services – Discipleship & Sunday School Come meet some people in one of our discipleship groups. These groups are an opportunity to connect with others who are learning and growing in their faith. There are groups for all ages. 11:15 a.m. – Traditional Worship At this service, you can expect a pipe organ, classic hymns and historical texts. You’ll find individuals, couples, families and seniors gathered to worship.

Why Church Planting?
9 Court Square 9 Court Square, Harrisonburg, VAMaybe you’ve heard about planting churches, and even First Pres’ plans to be part of church planting, but you’re still not sure why we’re doing it. Luke Parker, who directs church planting for ECO, our denomination, will be preaching at First Pres on January 22. Between the services, from 10:15-11, join him at 9 Court Square (the building adjacent to the Courtyard) as he answers the why. As we begin to think strategically about planting a church, it’s a session that will help you understand how vital church-planting is to our mission.
