Gathering Song: COME THOU FOUNT OF EVERY BLESSING
Welcome and Announcements
Call to Worship: (Isaiah 55:8-12)
One: “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord.
All: As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.
One: As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,
All: so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
One: You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.
All: Let us worship God!
PRAISE / RESURRECTION HOPE
First Scripture Lesson: Psalm 94 (p.590)
Prayer of Confession & Assurance of Forgiveness: (Gregory the Great)
One: Please join me in silent confession and then in the corporate prayer of confession on the screens/your order of worship.
(SILENT CONFESSION)
All: O God, who for our redemption gave your only-begotten Son to the death of the cross, and by his glorious resurrection has delivered us from the power of the enemy, grant us to die daily to sin, that we may evermore live with him, in the joy of his resurrection; through the same Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
One: Let us remind one another of the good news of the gospel with these words from 2 Corinthians 5:17.
All: Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
One: Friends, I declare to you that your sins are forgiven. Be at peace.

UP FROM THE GRAVE HE AROSE!
Low in the grave He lay, Jesus my Savior!
Waiting the coming day, Jesus my Lord!
Up from the grave He arose,
With a mighty triumph o’er His foes;
He arose a Victor from the dark domain,
And He lives forever with His saints to reign,
He arose! He arose! Hallelujah! Christ arose!
Vainly they watch His bed, Jesus my Savior!
Vainly they seal the dead, Jesus my Lord!
Up from the grave He arose,
With a mighty triumph o’er His foes;
He arose a Victor from the dark domain,
And He lives forever with His saints to reign,
He arose! He arose! Hallelujah! Christ arose!
COMMISSIONING OF LAY PASTORS / THE LORD’S PRAYER (p.16)

Discussion Questios
- What do you complain about?
- Do you take your complaints to God? Why or why not?
- What parallels do you see between Habakkuk’s context and our own?
- What have you seen God do that has left you utterly amazed?
- How do you feel and respond to God using evil for good?
