Perhaps the most important question for everyone to answer is also an amazingly evangelical question. Jesus himself asks the question in Matthew 16 and in Mark 8 and Luke 9.
“Who do you say that I am?”
This question is so important because how we answer the question determines both how we live here and now, and where we spend eternity. It is an evangelical question because it gets people talking and thinking about Jesus—and when they do that, they often come to the saving answer that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of the Living God and their Lord and Savior.
Now, because this is such a crucial question, it is often a good idea to give it a bit of a lead-in as Jesus did. Jesus started by asking who others said He was. Then, as now, the answers were all over the map. Nearly everyone who has heard of him has an opinion. (And yet even some 2 billion people have never heard of him!)
If you can get others to share their opinions, you may have the chance to share your belief that Jesus is your Lord and Savior and lead them to accept Him as their Lord and Savior.
