Renew Camp

Renew Camp is a week-long, inter-denominational, discipleship camp for rising/current high school students from Harrisonburg City & Rockingham/Augusta counties. Campers spend their days serving our community in a variety of ways, with all of the participating churches united together. At night, evening worship services are held with engaging music, a relevant message and an opportunity for students to grow deeper. Also, there are fun (often off-site) activities planned for each evening!  Throughout the week, our over-arching goal and desire is to honor Christ and see His renewal in our campers, volunteers, churches, and community. Registration opens Sunday, March 12 and closes Sunday, May 21. For more information or to register, go to renewcamp.org.

“Live No Lies” Summer Book Study

Smiley's Ice Cream 205 Don Litten Parkway, Bridgewater, VA, United States

For six Wednesdays in June and July, join us for ice cream and discussion around John Mark Comer's "Live No Lies." Here's a description of the book from Amazon: "We are at war. Not with a foreign government or domestic terrorists or a creepy new artificial intelligence hell-bent on taking over the world. No, it’s a war we feel deep inside our own chests: we are at war with lies. ... Ancient apprentices of Jesus developed a paradigm for this war; they spoke of the three enemies of the soul: the devil, the flesh, and the world. 'Live No Lies' taps into this ancient wisdom from saints of the Way and translates the three enemies for the modern era, with all its secularism and sophistication. In this provocative and practical book, bestselling author John Mark Comer combines cultural analysis with spiritual formation. He identifies the role lies play in our spiritual deformation and lays out a strategic plan to overcome them."
