Afternoon JAM (Jesus and Me) at First Pres launches for the Winter on Feb. 5 for children in kindergarten through 5th grade!
Children will enjoy active play, make music with Orff instruments and explore the Bible. The program will run on Wednesday afternoons from 4 p.m. to 5:50 p.m. The Winter session runs through March 26.
The Orff method involves teaching music through singing and the use of xylophones, glockenspiels, metallophones and rhythm instruments. Children will learn to play and sing while enjoying learning about music and praising the Lord. We plan to have two sections, one for kindergarten to second graders, and another for third to fifth graders.
There is no cost to attend. All leaders have passed background checks and completed child-protection training.
