Worshiping the Jesus that St. Patrick proclaimed

I love the story of St. Patrick and think we can learn a lot from it. Patrick came to faith through what he suffered as a slave for six years in what was then a very pagan Ireland. After escaping, Patrick was later led by the Lord to return to Ireland as a missionary and is credited, despite great opposition, with turning the Irish to Christ. How did he do it? I ask because in a very real way I think we are called to be like Patrick. We are to go to those who have mistreated us and who oppose us or who are at best indifferent to us and lead them to Christ. Much could be said here but I believe the key to Patrick’s life and ministry was prayer. Indicative of Patrick’s prayer life is a prayer we call St. Patrick’s Breastplate.  It can be summed up as a prayer for Christ to be all around us.
